The Time We Had a Dance-off in "Texas"

#37 At my second visit to Foxfield, I ditched the Lily and seersucker in exchange for skinny jeans and a rain jacket. Luckily, jeans are more conducive to dance parties... and I engaged in my second crib dance-off in as many days. The first time I won... this time, I was dancing by myself at the Texan's tailgate at the starting line. Another great Foxfield with four fabulous guests!

The Time We Had a Whiteout at Bar Blackout

#36 During the BGIA live auction this year, I purchased a party at my favorite spot: Bar Blackout. I initially thought it would be fun to get a few people over there, recoup the egregious amount of money I laid down in the name of charity, and generally enjoy one of the last days of the school year. Well, one thing led to another, and soon (as Nicki said) I was wondering if I could have a lion in a pen and a monkey that made cotton candy and Faberge eggs for every guest. I had to settle for white dress (what's a party if it isn't a costume party?), a bouncer named Newt, two bartenders, and a live band called the Retrospective Collective. I beat Ross in a crib dance-off, which was the highlight of my night (year). But let's face it... I was mostly just excited that everyone took the dress code so seriously.

The Time We Threw Tomatoes at Jesse

#35: What a fantastic way to spend $100 at a charity auction... Colin bought the rights to throw tomatoes at Jesse while he told bad jokes. The cookie sheet on the ground was his shield, and he wore a helmet. This might have been the funniest spectacle I've seen all year.

The Time We Spent More Time Driving Than Watching Rugby

#34: In the spirit of adventure, Nicole, Miranda, Caroline and I hopped in the car for a 2h15m drive to Danville, VA. We emerged 3h45m hours later after a "detour" to Farmville (which was only worth it because we got to see Farmville) that we didn't know we were taking until we were halfway back on track. We arrived with tea sandwiches and homemade cookies and hummus. We only saw one of the three games. At least I had a latte. That night at dinner, Emily found this nice man's large red drinking and punching fist. Here she is demonstrating its utility. All around good trip, and only 3 total hours spent in the car going the wrong direction...

The Time I Ghostrode an Audi

#33: For purposes of avoiding the law, no pictures were taken of this adventure. Instead, I've attached a video that demonstrates the idea behind ghostriding for those who've never heard of it. We dabbled in this on Lewis Mountain Road while playing Steal My Sunshine on repeat and driving with our toes....... I almost lost a shoe....... oh, Charlottesville, you are a fun town.
