2.6.18. This newfound ability to catch objects is such a welcome evolution from the awkward and wimpy wincing that she has done in every other situation that something was tossed to her like a normal dog. Had dinner with Teddy tonight and talked about AI, autonomous cars, evolution, recreating Cayo Santiago, babies and marriage, soulmates, entrepreneurship, and talking like Joe Dirt. Restaurant #6: Kotobuki.

2.5.18. Wow, I woke up to this view out of the guest bedroom window. Ok Trump, you did something right.*

*ok, not really

2.4.18. I moved into V's upper west side apartment for the next week. Bea and Jenny are... not enemies. It turns out my dog is kind of stubborn and opinionated. Nothing like the rest of our family. Also, if you're calling the building for Donald Trump, please direct your calls to 1-800-whateverMAGAsloganyoucanthinkof, because no one at Trump Place wants to answer your call or deal with your complaints or explain why DT is quite underprepared for his current occupation. His name is just on the building, that's all.

2.3.18. Harvey reunions continue with Happy Hour at Bayard's, drinks at some random place with an elf for a waiter (like, Lord of the Rings, not Keebler), and freshman year college roommates catching up 16 years after they met.

2.2.18. Girls dinner at Rosemary's to celebrate D+H getting engaged (boys can be girls at the girls dinner, too). It is an indication of our maturity that 60% of the table arrived within 15 minutes of the pre-stated start time, the remaining 40% joined at their leisure. 10 years ago, we would have all showed up 2 hours late. The kids have all grown up.

2.1.18. New York is sometimes the biggest small town! I ran into J on the way out of the Blond hotel where I was finishing drinks with my DMI counterparts post-store tour. She was visiting from San Fran for work meetings in the Willage. So much news and updates to share, and it made me miss my old team.

1.31.18. I can't share niece and nephew pics without also sharing the OG nephew Charlie. I can guarantee this sleeping spot is 100% illegal in the S household.

1.30.18. My favorite street in New York, dusted with snow, perfect for a morning walk with coffee in hand and dog leading the way.

1.29.18. Got this text today... LUCY'S FIRST PONY TAIL! It is so crazy seeing a little being that is so much my sister but also so much her Dad. It's still unclear if her opinionated nature comes from her Dad or her Gramma... or maybe she's a super being combination of the two. Look out world!

1.28.18. I slept for approximately 14 hours after what was a month of solid work but felt like two lifetimes. Jenny agreed with the decision to never wake up.

1.27.18. I got back to New York at 10am after a redeye with a layover, which is another name for hell on earth. I flew back specifically to attend N's baby shower, promptly forgot I was attending, texted B to see if he wanted to get coffee, to which he said "are you serious?", took a CitiBike uptown and arrived 30 min late. Horrified that I might have let N down, I raced around the restaurant only to learn that she was 45 min late to her own shower. Like, I love my friends. They never make me feel bad about being late. Plus, we still had time to write her these sage pieces of advice. Restaurant #5: Hanoi House.

1.26.18. I mean, nailed it. She won, by the way.

1.25.18. Day 2 and my team rocked their breakout working session. I celebrated knowing that, once tomorrow came, I could return to being my introverted self in a hoodie by the pool ignoring everyone. With this view.

1.24.18. The general session of sales meeting was today, and these three found out that they share at least one thing in common: FOMO. Never be the first to leave a gathering and always be up for the next playlist/dance party/surprise order from In And Out. And drinks, like life, are always better with lemons.

1.23.18. Today marked the beginning of our annual sales meeting. It was quite refreshing to fly out to LA, the land of perpetual sun and heat, to escape the icy, cold, bleak NYC winter. We flew into LA, toured Century City, and took the train up the coast to Santa Barbara and the Bacara resort. A little champagne, a little work emails, a lotta stories, and P only got lost once.
